Riders can find 400 stations and 4000 bikes across 13 municipalities in Metro Boston. Since 2011, more than 20 million trips have been taken by bike share. Boston's original bike share program, Hubway, launched in 2011 and quickly became an essential part of our transportation network as a fun, efficient and affordable way to get around. From 2010 to 2017, our Roll It Forward program collected, repaired, and distributed over 4,500 bikes to low-income Boston residents who might not otherwise have access to a bike. We thank all of our partners for their support over the past seven years. While our program is ending, the community of bicycling in Boston has grown tremendously.
